The FAO Desert Locust Commissions and Desert Locust Information Service (DLIS) will organize the third trial for the use of drones in Desert Locust early warning and preventive control. The trial agreed to be held in Alger during October 2019. The objective of the trial is 1) operate of the technology in the field to test the development made by the partner company; 2) further development of dedicated technology aligned with the objectives of the use of fixed and rotary wing of improving Desert Locust monitoring, early warning and rapid control, and reducing the costs of survey and control operations. |
