Desert Locust situation remained calm during May 2018, since the beginning of the current season and the three previous ones. Surveys were conducted at few sites in Abu-Simbel and Tushka near lake Nasser where farm crops exist. No activity for the Desert Locust was noticed by the survey team in all the mentioned survey areas and no reports of locust infestations were received from any other areas.
