DL Situation
SAUDI ARABIA, October 2020
With the end of October, the desert locust situation improved in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after the survey and control operations, which were concentrated in parts of the southwest coast between Jizan and Al-Leith due to the rains during summer season, coinciding with the invasion of swarms, which allowed limited breeding activity for desert locust in Leith, Qunfudah and North Jizan. Due to the small sized infestation compared to the large available capabilities, the infestations were quickly controlled, and there was no opportunity for swarms and groups to form and that for the good control.
