EGYPT, October, 2020
Desert locust situation continued to be calm in October. Surveys were conducted near Abu Ramad, Shalatyn, Hamata, Baraneice, west Marsa Alam and near El Sheikh El-Shazly, in the southwest near Toshka and Abu-Simbel as well as in the northwest near Siwa and Salloum. The total covered survey area is 6229 ha. Only isolated immature solitary adults and isolated hoppers were seen near Abu-Ramad and no locusts were seen at all the other survey areas.
