Pesticides Stock Management System (PSMS)

In order to assist the CRC countries in managing, recording and monitoring pesticide stocks more efficiently, help reducing the creation of obsolete pesticides and enable countries to plan strategies for responding more effectively to Desert Locust outbreaks. Furthermore, the need for the implementation of an efficient Pesticides Stock Management System (PSMS) that has been developed by the FAO Pesticides Management Group (AGPMC), designed to facilitate the collection and sharing of information on pesticide stocks, movements and registers of permitted products. The Sub-Regional PSMS workshop was held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 18 – 21 October, 2015, for the benefit of Desert Locust Units in frontline countries (the breeding countries) in the Commission
