Green Control

The Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust Control in the Central Region (CRC) plays a pivotal role in promoting the use of biopesticides for desert locust control among its member states. Through collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and regional bodies, the Commission facilitates knowledge transfer, technical training, and capacity-building initiatives to ensure the effective deployment of this environmentally sustainable solution. Through workshops, field trials, and advocacy for updated policies, the Commission addresses operational challenges and enhances regional cooperation, focusing on integrating the use of biopesticides and eco-friendly solutions into national locust control strategies, to reduce reliance on chemical pesticides and mitigate environmental impacts.
