Increase the Resilience of Livelihood to Disasters

Increase the Resilience of Livelihood to Disasters

7/18/2025 12:00:00 AM

The CRC is dedicated to increasing the resilience of livelihoods against desert locust disasters by promoting proactive, coordinated, and sustainable management strategies among its member countries. The Commission enhances national capacities to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to locust outbreaks through early warning systems, contingency planning, targeted training, and regional cooperation. By reducing the impact of infestations on agriculture and food security, CRC interventions help safeguard the livelihoods of vulnerable rural communities. The integration of innovative technologies, knowledge sharing, and local capacity-building further strengthens long-term resilience and supports sustainable development throughout the region.
