SAUDI ARABIA, May 2020
After the control operations in the spring season in the ِEastern region, Riyadh, Hail, and Qassim, breeding ended and fledgling occurred, and groups formed, specifically in the eastern region and to a lesser extent in Hail. Control operations did not allow locusts to migrate towards the summer breeding areas in the neighboring countries, and the spring season become calm from the desert locust, except for parts from governorates of southern Riyadh, as well as Najran region, which was affected by the Desert Locust situation in Yemen, as it received a small swarm and some mature groups. Survey and control operations are still undergoing in the south of the Kingdom to finish locust infestations and breeding
