DL Situation
SAUDI ARABIA, June 2020
The Desert Locust situation calmed after the end of control operations for the spring season and the absence of Desert Locust in the central and northern areas. However; there is a very limited breeding activity in the extreme south of Riyadh beside the Empty Quarter, while the southern highlands are still affected by the immature and mature adult groups and swarms which are treated immediately when seen. Limited fledging occurred for the hopper bands which resulted from breeding in Najran.Control operations continue to get rid of all infestations.Control operations treated 5360 Ha during June.
