EGYPT, November 2020
Increased Desert Locust activity was noticed during November 2020. Surveys were conducted in the southeast, southwest as well as in the northwest of Egypt. The total covered survey area is 9105ha. Immature swarm and mature breeding swarm were seen in the southeast to the west of Abu-Ramad and Halaib, in addition to immature and mature groups, hopper groups and bands and low density hoppers and adults. Ground control operations treated 1225ha. No more locusts were seen at all the other survey areas.
