Enhance the regional collaboration with sister commissions

The two Desert Locust Commissions in the Western Region (CLCPRO) and Central Region (CRC) success to have a dedicated component of one million euro (1 000 000 €) to strengthen the institutional, financial and operational aspects in member states financed by the French Development Agency (FDA). The project aims to promote the sustainability of the preventive control strategy and improve the mechanism to deal with Desert locust upsurge/ invasions in CRC and CLCPRO member countries. The project is a living example of the continuous cooperation between CRC and CLCPRO, fostering lessons learned between countries of the two regions, sharing technical and financial resources, and advancing locust prevention.
