The Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in the Central Region participated in the commemorating celebrating 40 years of country representations in the Near East and North Africa region. The Near East and North Africa region hosted the first ever FAO regional office in Egypt. Forty years after the first country Representation offices opened in Near East, FAO’s commitment and determination to work in partnership to help its Member Nations achieve zero hunger and food security, in an environmentally reliable and sustainable way, while improving rural livelihoods, is as strong as ever.
