Since its inception, the Commission in the Central Region (CRC) supports the strategy of prevention to detect early signs of gregarious locust populations, and rapid intervention to control dangerous locust infestations before they can cause damage to crops. In this regard, its focus is on human and institutional capacity building and preservation. Besides, providing material assistance to national locust services for responding to emergencies, and coordinating regional and international efforts.
